This 8 week course teaches everything you need to know to start your sewing journey. Tailored specifically for kids aged 5 - 11 years old, this courses teaches sewing techniques through projects. Each project is specifically crafted to introduce new sewing techniques and provide the confidence to sew solo at home.
Class sizes are limited to four students allowing for one on one teaching and student specific tailored teaching. Audsley has over 15 years experience tutoring students with a range of learning needs, and prides herself on providing tailored teaching to each students needs/speed.
Course Specifics:
All materials, tools and machine use are included in the course cost.
Workbook including reference skills, machine anatomy and project patterns with instructions included.
This course is gender neutral.
All ironing and fabric cutting will be carried out by the tutor (Audsley).
Pins are not used within the kids course, instead sewing clips will be used.
Thread snipping will be carried out supervised throughout the course (safety scissors provided where required).
Preference is given to certified organic, deadstock and recycled fabric for all projects.
Audsley Sarah Designs is proudly a zero waste studio, all fabric scraps and thread are re-purposed and given a new life.
Time: 8 hours over 8 classes (60 minutes each)

Project One: Mini Fabric Storage Bin (finished dimensions 10x10x10cm)

Project Two: Lunch Bag (finished dimensions - base 11x16cm - maximum height rolled 24cm)

sewing with velcro

Project Three: O’s and X’s Game (finished dimensions - mat 40x40cm - O’s/X’s pillows 9x9cm)

quilting fabric together
