14 Hook Speedweave Loom

from $85.00

This replica 14 hook speedweave is perfect for both woven and knit mending. A 14 hook loom creates a finer darn, ideal for lighter weight yarn and cotton thread.

The Speedweave was created over 80 years ago, easing the darning process. The loom holds the warp (vertical) threads, with the slide of the hooks switching the direction of upper and lower threads.

These looms are made by the wonderful people at Mission X Goods, a family business manufacturing these looms on the original vintage machines. The loom frame itself is aluminium, with a smooth wooden board (circular or rectangular).

Wooden circular board = 7cm
Wooden rectangular board = 7cm x 13cm
14 Hooks placed approximately 3mm apart
